With the onset of the 2010 GamesCom, we were sure to get some juicy insides into the phenomenally evolving and ever exciting of modern gaming. With the continued improvements in gaming consoles such as Sony PlayStation 3, Microsoft Xbox 360, the envelope of games has been stretched to the very limit of the current generation technology. However, what got our attention, besides the rows and rows of games that would entice even a novice gamer, was the floating bits of information in regards to the next generation Sony PSP (PlayStation Portable) successor.
As per sources, Sony could very well be taking the touch screen revolution, turn it on its head and apply it onto the yet unnamed PSP successor. Although, the screen size of the new PSP is expected to be the same as of its predecessor, yet the addition to touch controls to the compact console, could create a whole different gaming experience for the users. Interestingly, the unfinished PSP handheld, that Sony is currently showcasing to a handful of publishers and gamers feature the touch control at the back of the console, thereby keeping the entire screen clutter free. There have also been news that, Sony has already prepared it business model for the new PSP device.
