Water Conservation programs and awareness campaigns aren't unheard of. With perils of Global Warming and no-rain phenomena taking place all over the globe, water, among other essentials of life would be priced like Gold. Well, there are lots of ways to save water but Israel used something serious to pinpoint water loss in its domain. A military inspired flying machine called 3G Drone will sent across towns and cities to detect areas where water leaks are taking place.
The drone was developed by Master Meter, sister concern of Arad Technologies LTD and is completely GPS self-guided. Built out of lightweight carbon fiber, the battery powered Drone can be launched with by the hand and it returns via parachute. The system here is built around a standard-meter lookalike device. Every 11 to 30 seconds, the system would transmit data which will be captured up by a drone or y a drive-by or fixed-base reader. The data then will be sent back to the computers which will work out stats pertaining to how much water has been consumed, how much was lost and places where tampering have taken place.
3G Drone is an ahead-of-its-time device that will help save water and revenue losses as well. If this water across the globe could be put to use, research says it would serve as much as 200 million more people in developing countries.
