Tuohy, Irish American mother, who adopted Michael Oher expressed his views about Americans that they are too quick to evaluate people even before knowing them.
Tuohy later adopted Oher as a homeless teenager, who later became one of the highest paid stars in the NFL.
Her story made spotlight as a book was written on her “The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game”. The book became a best-seller which was adapted to movie “The Blind Side.” The movie also became highly appreciated and got Sandra Bullock nominated for actress in leading role for playing Leigh Anne Tuohy.
Tohy said to audience in Georgia that “We’re quick to value people inaccurately, be it a co-worker at the office or those who do the landscaping around our home”.
She thought that there might be many Michael Ohers out there wanting hope and opportunity in life.
